STORM RUNNERS TAKE THE FIELD AT GIANTS STADIUM
The FC Somers Storm Runners were invited to play in an
exhibition game vs. the Buckingham team of Pennsylvania
before the Red Bulls opening day game on April 5th.
The girls played a 25 minute game and ended up at the short
end of a 1-0 score. It was exciting for the Storm Runners to
play on the same turf as the Red Bulls as well as the Super
Bowl Champ NY Giants. Not only did they get to play, but
they also got to create the “on-filed-wall” that the Red
Bulls came through when the entered the stadium at the start
of the game. More than 70 Storm Runners player and family
member attended. Special thanks to Kelly Barr for putting
the event together and to Lori Moore for arranging the bus.
