2nd round NY State Cup Stampede v Mahopac All Starz 1-0 April 27, 2008

Somers Stampede beats Mahopac All Starz 1-nil in 2nd round of State Cup at Mahopac HS. Sydney scores the games only goal and Mahopac misses a PK with about 3 minutes left.  Sarina Callan had her third straight shutout, 2nd in row at State Cup.  And "El Syd", a/k/a Sydney Reichert, scored this weeks winning goal, and last week's.  Stephanie Ghelarducci, Rebecca Bosley, Beth Coppolecchia, Alissa Iannacchino, Shannon Spillane, Julia Djokic, Hanna Reach and Niki Battipagli had very strong games.  Amanda & Melissa Barcia, Vicki Wines & Christina Jocelyn gave the team a huge lift off of the bench.    Greatly missed was Kasey Rubenstein who missed the game due to an injury.  It was likely our best win of our young career!
